New RPG Soundtrack: Final Fantasy XIII-2 OST

Final Fantasy XIII-2’s soundtrack is getting  a special holiday upgrade which involves a limited edition package, set to be released all over Japan. The special set will contain the four-disc OST and a special edition DVD in a just one extra special package, so you better get booking cause you most certainly do not want to miss this. The special package features the leading hero, Yoshitaka Amano on the front cover, while Caius Ballad, the villain, is not getting any special treatment, as he’s placed on the back, where he belongs. Now, we know it’s only being sold in Japan, but don’t worry, the entire package is also available for pre-order online, beginning with December 14th, when the Limited Edition series is released. It really is impressive how “Final Fantasy”, which is basically a new comer on to the world of RPGs has managed to decimate the sales for its two major competitors, “Deus Ex Human Revolution” and “Elder Scrolls V Skyrim”. Of course, if you’re a fan of role playing games, we’re probably on the same page with the fact that the soudtrack can either make or break the game, but for those who doubted that XIII-2’s soundtrack had a chance at greatness, all we can say is: this is one of the best soundtracks yet! Hamauzu, the person in charge of the compositions has clearly outdone himself. Of course, he didn’t do it alone, Hamauzu was joined by Square Enix in-house sound guy, Mitsuto Suzuki and all we can conclude is that this… is a match made in soundtrack heaven. The soundtrack consists of four discs, and if you’re wondering how they are, keep on reading, cause we’re gonna tell you. The first CD contains most of the best and listener friendly tracks.
