  • Shiela Hanson says:

Paverotti and Joan Sutherland sing the quartet at the end

  • Randy Orgeron says:

The actual singers of the quartet heard over the end credits:

    “Bella figlia dell’amore”
    from “Rigoletto: Act 3”
    Composed by Giuseppe Verdi
    Libretto by Francesco Maria Piave
Performed by Joan Sutherland (as Dame Joan Sutherland), Huguette Tourangeau, Luciano Pavarotti, Sherrill Milnes, Martti Talvela, London Symphony Orchestra
    Conducted by Richard Bonynge

  • Byron Hanson says:

A number of musicians who are not primarily actors participated in the film, notably in the string quartet, and the Mikado excerpts (O please you sir we much regret, Three little maids from school are we, Tit-willow). These are all identified in the closing credits along with photographs from earlier points in their careers. Some are neither over seventy nor yet retired (unless very recently), but of mature enough age to be plausible residents of the Beecham residence. Mr. Heley, the cellist, is one example, having played in the Royal Philharmonic at about age 20 in 1970, and with both the St. Johns and Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields orchestras very recently if not currently!

  • Valentin says:

Regarding piano sequence, isn’t it this one? http://open.spotify.com/track/6RhFmxbpMSkiTw8W2nRCrN

  • Phyllis Stein says:

Also from the credits: the other singers in the quartet were Huguette Tourangeau and Sherril Milnes. “Caro nome” was sung by Ileana Cotrubas.

  • mary says:

Where can I find a copy of the CD of the sound tract to purchase? I loved the movie and would love to have the CD

  • Michelle says:

Answer to who the four voices in the quartet were, at the end credits were listed, Dame Joan Sutherland, and Luciano Pavarotti, I didn’t catch the other two. Hope that helps.

  • Jim Kaufman says:

    answer to RACH
The music played during the ending credits WAS the Quartet from Rigoletto

Will somebody please answer who the four voices were ? Thanks.

  • Joan Fogel says:

SUPERB MOVIE!! SHOULD HAVE MORE LIKE THIS! WONDERFUL ACTING, MUSIC!

NOT EXACTLY AN OPERA BUFF BUT THIS M OVIE COULD MAKE ME ONE!!!

  • Marcia says:

Who were the four real singers in the “original” quartet singing Rigoletto?

  • don henderson says:

The Bach was a Busoni arrangement of the fugue from the (organ) Toccata and Fugue in d minor.

  • Cecile says:

Can someone help with the names of the artists that actually sang the quartet from Rigoletto? Missed it on the credits.
    Tx

  • Guy Pfeffermann says:

I too would like to know where the Bach piano music came from. It was superb.

  • Sarah says:

I too am wondering which piece of Bach the piano music is?

  • louise says:

Twice in the movie, piano only was played and as background. I too am looking for the names of the piano pieces. Pretty sure both were Bach, but were they the same one, and what IS THE NAME OF IT/THEM? No where on the soundtrack are they listed.

  • Rach says:

Does anybody know what the music was that was played during the end credits?
    Thanks.

  • John says:

In the credits it showed real musicians that played minor roles as musicians in the home. Is that true?

  • Fiona Blakelock says:

Saw the movie last night. Really enjoyed it ….. was youngest in theatre by about 20 years at the grand old age of 39 🙂

Was wondering what the piano music was about half way through the film. Sounded like a Bach Fugue. Left hand was quite fast in an arpeggiated movement (I think from what I remember of it). ? Section out of Toccata & Fugue in D Minor or something else? The camera scanned past the player and then on to another actor in the room and I couldn’t read the music. Thanks.

  • Mike Soanes says:

Whats the Columbian Cumbria tune that they dance to in the film?

  • Warren Edwardes says:

    What was the salsa track?
