Yep, you read that right, Black Mountain is the rock band behind a new surf-post-apocalyptic movie! You must be thinking that the world really is coming to an end if a rock band has been chosen to revive surf culture, but you couldn’t be more wrong. Black Mountain has contributed with 9 lovely songs to the soundtrack of the upcoming movie, five of which are completely new, and the other four have been previously released, but they’re hand-picked to be some of the best. So on second thought, the 45-minute-long new soundtrack is going to be an amazing compilation Black Mountain’s best work so far. The thrilling new soundtrack will be released on April 3rd, 2012 via Jagjaguwar both on vinyl and digital formats, so be sure to mark that date in your calendars so that you remember to go out and get your copy.
