Information about this highly anticipated, upcoming thriller is really scarce these days, especially the pieces of info regarding the soundtrack album. Academy award-winning film composer Trent Reznor, and his “How To Destroy Angels” cohort Atticus Ross, are currently adding the finishing touches to the soundtrack for director David Fincher’s American remake of “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”. Nine Inch Nails’ frontman, Trent Reznor, has taken to his twitter account to let us know that his soundtrack for the forthcoming film will be released in the UK via Mute Records. “I’m happy to announce that the soundtrack for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo will be released on Mute Records (outside North America).” These were his exact twitter words, and shortly after, he told us that we should be on the look-out for more information on December 2nd, 2011. Yep, that’s right, only 2 weeks before the film’s big premiere, we’ll be able to find out when and where we can get our hands on a copy of the official soundtrack album. Reznor has previously declared that he will be returning to work as Nine Inch Nails after finishing his work on the soundtrack. This remake is directed by David Fincher and in the leading roles, we’ll have the pleasure to see Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” will be premiered on December 21, 2011.
