“Halo: Combat Evolved” Anniversary Soundtrack The classic “Halo: Combat Evolved” soundtrack, which was originally created by award winning composers Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori, will be getting an extreme makeover with full orchestral treatment (pretty neat, huh?). The announcement was finally made that there will be a re-orchestration of the initial soundtrack, and it will be made available on a 2-disc CD album released to retail outlets worldwide on November 15th through Sumthing Else Music Works. Also, the compilation will be available for digital download through the oh so popular iTunes, Amazon MP3 and the other digital retailers. In addition to all of the new features, achievements, challenges and new fiction to uncover, Halo: Anniversary includes six of the most popular multiplayer maps from the original game and one new Firefight map for cooperative play over Xbox LIVE. The official announcement was pretty graceful, stating that: “We are striving to create the ultimate love letter to Halo fans, and celebrate Marty O’Donnell’s and Michael Salvatori’s original vision with grace and style”. This re-orchestrated version will be available in the same day as the game comes out, on November 15th, 2011 to be more specific, so if you’re a fan, be sure to mark that date in your calendar and go out and buy a copy, cause if the original version was great, this new compilation will be even better.
