The Chemical Brothers To Score Upcoming New Movie “Now You See Me”

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! According to new reports, The Chemical Brothers have signed on to write the soundtrack for an upcoming new movie named “Now You See Me.” And if their work for the soundtrack of “Hanna” is any indication, the forthcoming score is going to be really good. And I’m sure you’ll have to agree! So what is this “Now You See Me” movie that you keep hearing about? Well, it’s only one of the most interesting movie releases announced for 2013 (if we actually make it through the alleged end of the world scheduled for December 2012). The line-up of actors so far is truly impressive! Curious to know who they are? Of course you are! Well, we won’t keep in suspense and just go ahead and say that Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Melanie Laurent, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Common are apart of the cast so you can imagine what we’re in for. On top of that, sources close to the Louis Leterrier directed film have confirmed (although not officially) that the soundtrack will be composed by the amazing electro duo, The Chemical Brothers.  Just in case you’ve been keeping track, 2011 was quite a good year for electro-scores on movies. We hadTrentReznor featured on “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” soundtrack, Basement Jaxx on “Attack The Block”, and of course, to top them all off, Joe Wright’s assassin story “Hanna”, which featured The Chemical Brothers. Director Louis Leterrier has been known to have a keen ear when it comes to picking scores for his movies. In the past, he’s worked with Massive Attack (on “Danny The Dog”) and Matt Bellamy from Muse (“Clash Of The Titans”). So, that being said, if the past collaborations are any indication, we’re in for a good musical experience from “Now You See Me.” But until we get to hear any result of the creative process, we’ll have to just wait and quench our thirst for good music with the Chemical Brothers’ “Hanna” score. Good idea, right?
