“The Hobbit” Is Due Out In November 2012

Do you miss The Lord Of The Rings? Well, you can now rest assure cause the wait till another lovely J. R. R. Tolkien-based fantasy movie is almost coming to an end. Well, don’t get too excited, we still have to wait till November 2012 for the premiere of “The Hobbit”, but at least we can dream of a mystic realm once more. Peter Jackson took it upon himself to direct the film adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit”, which is a prequel of the highly popular LOTR trilogy. More over, we are all gonna get the chance to once again meet some of our favorite film characters, like Bilbo Baggins and of course, Sir Ian McKellen’s Gandalf. as you can very well tell from the title, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” focuses more on Bilbo Baggins, who will embark on a quest to save the Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the dragon, Smaug (who’s portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch) The film will have 2 parts which are currently in the works: “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” and “The Hobbit: There and Back Again”, but despite the fact that they are being shot back to back, the release dates are scheduled one year apart: the first one is set for 14th of December 2012 while part 2 is set for 13 th of December 2013 (that being said, I sure do hope that the world doesn’t end in December 2012). If you’re lucky enough, you can catch a ticket to the sneak preview at Wellington’s Embassy Theater in New Zealand on 28 November, two weeks before the official release on 14 December. As far as the soundtrack is concerned… it’s bound to be a musical delight! We can tell just from the trailer that the team working on the scores is doing a good job. Howard Shores is the man in charge of the scores, and considering his previous work for LOTR, it’s safe to assume we’re in for a great ride. Have a listen on some music based on the main theme of “The Hobbit”, but also the songs featured in the trailer and some of Howard Shores’ scores for the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy.
