Original Soundtrack Release Details and Information for “Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning”

Are you ready for one of the best role playing games of the year? “Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning” will be released on February 7, 2012, and on the same day, the official and original soundtrack CD will be released so that the fans can experience what has been called “the next step in the evolution of video game soundtracks”. This amazing new game soundtrack was crafted by the renowned musical composer, Grant Kirkhope, but the whole magical experience would not have been complete if the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra wouldn’t have worked their magic to bring us the enchanted realm of “Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning”. The orchestra managed to bring the game dark fantasy scores to life, and, when asked, even the composer of the soundtrack had words of praise for the work of the entire team: “Reckoning was a huge undertaking, as I knew from the start the scale of the game was going to be BIIIIIIIG! I wanted to make sure it was strong thematically so that the player could make real associations with characters and places; I’ve always tried to do this with all the games I’ve worked on. There’s a good two and a half hours’ worth of full orchestral score in Reckoning ranging from huge boss fights to smaller ensemble pieces for dungeons and cities. I wanted the score to have a dark fairytale kind of feel that was full of magic and danger at every turn just like the game. The team here at Big Huge Games created such a beautiful looking world that it was such a pleasure to score!” The Original Soundtrack CD of “Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning” will be released through Sumthing Else Music Works, which is currently the best company in the game soundtrack industry. The company was founded by famed musician/producer Nile Rodgers, through it, the official soundtrack CD will be available for purchase at both digital and physical retailers, beginning with February 7th, 2012.
