“My Week With Marilyn” Official Soundtrack List We’re pleased to announce that the official soundtrack list for the upcoming “My Week With Marilyn” will be available for us to buy and listen, beginning with November 1st, 2011. In the beginning, the album will only be digitally available, but later this month, we’ll be able to get the CD as well, so we just have to be a bit patient and wait. In case you’re not familiar with the plot of the movie, don’t worry, we’re right here to let you know what it’s all about. Surely, the title’s very suggestive, and it may come as no surprise to you that the movie deals with a week in the life of the sexy Marilyn Monroe. The entire movie’s based on the books written by Colin Clark, who was actually an assistant on the set of “The Prince and the Showgirl” (1956). “My Week with Marilyn” was premiered on October 9th, 2011 at the New York Film Festival, and if we look at the credentials, we just get the urge to get out of the house and buy a ticket to see the movie. For such a high profile shooting, the soundtrack couldn’t have been neglected. The score was written by Conrad Pope, one of the USA’s leading conductors and composers for film music, you might recognize his work on three of the Star Wars films, the Harry Potter series, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek X, the Matrix films and Memoirs of a Geisha (after lifting my jaw off the floor, I could finally say: WOW! This guy is good…) The round-up of actors includes the sweet and popular Emma Watson, but also Judi Dench, Derek Jacobi and Zoë Wanamaker.
