The Official SSX Tracklist Has Ben Confirmed And It Features Run-DMC, DJ Shadow, Skrillex & More

If you’re familiar SSX, you will be happy to know that EA SPORTS has finally released the official tracklist for the latest installment of the game and without a doubt, you are in for a treat! The Soundtrack of the new SSX game will feature 36 new songs. Yup, you read that right,36. Ten of songs are original compositions created especially for your gaming experience, and the others are new songs from either already established artists such as Skrillex and Run-DMC coupled with up-and-rising artists. If you’re a true fan of this amazing snowboard action game, you probably know that the new tracklist has a lot to live up to. The soundtracks of the previous installments were pretty darn good to say the least, but somehow, after looking at the line-up of musicians on this installment, we have a feeling that the new version of SSX is going to be the best one yet as far as the background music is concerned. This latest installment of the snowboarding fest will be available for purchase beginning on February 28th in theUS, and March 2nd inEurope. And just so you know, it comes in both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 formats. What’s really going to be amazing about the game, apart from the fact that it’s the biggest game of the series so far, is the fact that it’s soundtrack is also slated to be the best of the bunch. And what is even better, if you don’t like the soundtrack, feel free to change it. Yes, that’s right! If the 36 new songs which will be featured on the game soundtrack are not to your liking, all you have to do is upload your own music to SSX and enjoy! Kind of a unique twist, don’t you think? Gamers are given the possibility to make their own custom playlists, disregarding the default one. And on top of all that, if you’re still not satisfied, in order to give you the full gaming experience, the new SSX also comes with a music remix tool which can automatically remix licensed tracks based on your performance in the game. Pretty neat, right? Steve Schnur, EA’s worldwide executive of music said: “SSX has always been one of EA’s most music intensive, genre diverse and sonically adventurous titles. The songs on this new soundtrack cover ground from indie rock, dub step, hip-hop, drum + bass and beyond. As fans of the ultimate snowboarding franchise have come to expect, our artists range from top cutting-edge stars to tomorrow’s hottest underground acts. Ultimately, it’s a soundtrack full of next-level music that is totally ripe for discovery.” Have we gotten you a bit curious to see which artists and songs will be featured amongst the 36 songs?
